Revised-Attendances-&-Stadium-Building

Based on our communities feedback, we made several changes to attendances and stadium building. Smaller clubs and those coming up through the divisions will now receive higher attendances and have their stadium capacity increased (to a far higher level) to reflect their league standing.

The maximum capacity of 24,000 has been lifted because we want attendances to be more dynamic and based on your success. This means your fan base will dictate any increases to your stadium which will be made by your Chairman at the start of a new season. It will not cost your club any money as the Chairman will pay for this.

So how will fan bases work? Well, each club has a set fan base when a Game World is created. This fan base could increase over a period of time dependent on your success. However, the fan base will never increase to more than the highest fan base within your league. Likewise, just as a fan base will increase, it can also decrease if your club is underachieving.

Lets look at some examples…

When a club is in the league it started in:

At the start of every season a club will move towards the league average or it’s starting fan base dependent on whichever is bigger. So lets look at a league with an average attendance of 28,000.

Example Club 1 has a 40,000 fan base and a 45,000 capacity stadium. The number of fans that could potentially turn up on the day, could increase or decrease 30% either side of your fan base, dependent on if they are top or bottom of the league. So if they are top of league they could potentially attract 53,000 meaning they will sell out their 45,000 capacity stadium. If they are struggling and are near the bottom of the league then their fans will stay away and they will only attract 26,667.

Example Club 2 has a 28,000 fan base and a 35,505 capacity stadium. The number of fans that could potentially turn up on the day, could increase or decrease 30% either side of your fan base, dependent on if they are top or bottom of the league. So if they are top of league they could potentially attract 37,333 meaning they will sell out their 35,505 capacity stadium. If they are struggling and are near the bottom of the league then their fans will stay away and they will only attract 18,667.

At the start of a new season if both Example Club 1 & 2 have had success in the previous season, then their Chairman will increase their stadium capacity and will continue to do so as long as they are successful each season.

When a club has been promoted:

At the start of the new season if a club has been promoted and it’s fan base is below the league average, then they will move towards the average. So lets look at a league with an average attendance of 28,000.

Example Club 1 has a 12,000 fan base and a 23,404 capacity stadium. The number of fans that could potentially turn up on the day, could increase or decrease 30% either side of your fan base, dependent on if they are top or bottom of the league. So if they are top of league they could potentially attract 16,000 but they will not sell out. If they are struggling and are near the bottom of the league then their fans will stay away and they will only attract 8,000.

At the start of a new season if Example Club 1 stays in it’s new division then over time they will continue to attract fans, increase their fan base and their Chairman will gradually increase the stadium capacity.

When a club has been relegated:

At the start of the new season if a club has been relegated and it’s fan base is above the league average, then they will move towards the average. So lets look at a league with an average attendance of 20,000.

Example Club 1 has a 75,000 fan base and a 75,731 capacity stadium. Their new fan base would be 47,500. The number of fans that could potentially turn up on the day, could increase or decrease 30% either side of your fan base, dependent on if they are top or bottom of the league. So if they are top of league they could potentially attract 63,333 but they will not sell out. If they are struggling and are near the bottom of the league then their fans will stay away and they will only attract 31,667.

At the start of a new season if Example Club 1 stays in it’s new division then over time they will continue to lose fans and see a decrease in their fan base. Likewise if they gained promotion their fan base would start to increase either to the league average or back to what it was originally was dependent on which is bigger.
