Soccer Manager Elite – Now in Beta

Posted on 19th May 2020

Our new football management game, Soccer Manager Elite, is now in Beta. SM Elite is an evolution of the classic Soccer Manager Worlds real-time multiplayer game but utilising blockchain technology.

SM Elite has been developed in partnership with XAYA and built on their blockchain gaming platform.

Don’t let the word “blockchain” put you off though! Those that are familiar with Soccer Manager Worlds will see a lot of similarities between both games.

They are both multiplayer football management games. You buy and sell players in the transfer market and negotiate with other managers. League matches are played twice per week and cup matches once. These matches are against other managers. SM Elite also has Game Worlds and the first one to launch in Beta is Elite Championship. This is a one off unique Game World where managers of SM Worlds can test themselves.

There are 4 divisions within Elite Championship 1. There’s only one first division, two second divisions, four third divisions and eight fourth divisions. Each league has 20 clubs (with 300 clubs within the Game World) and at the seasons end the top two clubs in each league are promoted and the bottom four relegated.

The main difference between both games is that within SM Elite, you can also take on different roles to that of a traditional football manager. You can become a shareholder or an agent.

As a shareholder you can buy and sell shares in any club and therefore have voting rights on how it is run, such as hiring and firing the manager. Therefore as a manager you need the backing of the club’s shareholders and this is done by buying the right players, making profits and success on the pitch. This will all help to increase the value of a club and in turn reward the shareholders in the form of dividends.

As an agent you can buy and sell shares in any player and have a say on their future. You will receive a percentage of a players wage and therefore it is in your interest to negotiate the best possible contract for them and also veto any transfer you don’t think will be beneficial to their career.

Full details no how the roles of manager, shareholder and agent can be found here.
