'Gold Membership' is a package of extra's which can be bought by paying a fee at the SM Shop. 'Gold Membership' adds a number of features to Soccer Manager for the user to enjoy but provides no in-game advantages. 'Gold Membership' income will help to maintain and expand the resources needed by Soccer Manager.
When You Become A Gold Member You Will Be Able To...
- Compete in the exclusive Gold Championship Setups (as long as your SM Reputation is 40 or greater).
- 12 National/Regional leagues running concurrently with two domestic cups each.
- (England, Spain, Italy, Scotland, France, Germany, Holland & Belgium, Eastern Europe, American, Mediterranean, Central Europe, Scandinavia) Top teams from all the domestic leagues compete in Champions League style Competitions the SMFA Champions Cup and SMFA Shield.
- Create and control your own Custom Setups, choose:
- Your setup name and your starting club
- The clubs in your setup
- The number of divisions and clubs in your setup
- Whether the setup is open to everyone or whether it is application/invite only (eg Buddy League)
- The number of clubs promoted and relegated
- The number of points for a win
- The manager's reputation entry level to your setup
- Create as many Custom Setups as you wish (Each Custom Setup bought separately)
- Manage 10 extra clubs per account
- Enable Holiday Mode which can be used up to 4 times a year!
- Gold Members get their support tickets answered as a priority before other members
- Receive the

Gold Membership Renewal
When can I renew my Gold Membership?
You can only renew your Gold Membership when you have 60 days or less remaining on your current package.
How much is the renewal?
The Gold Membership package is worth £14.99, however, due to your loyalty , we will renew your Gold Membership for £4.99.
Do I still control my Custom Setup(s)?
As long as you remain a Gold Member you will have full control over your Custom Setup.
Can I still participate in the Gold Setups?
As long as you remain a Gold Member and your reputation is above 40 you can still participate in them.
Do I get any additional Custom Setups free with my renewal?
Once you renew your Gold Membership you will be given another free Custom Setup if you renew your membership for £9.99.
Gold Membership Expiry
What happens if I don't renew my Gold Membership?
You will become a normal member and will only be able to manage a maximum of 3 clubs (plus number of Custom Setups you have).
What happens to my other club(s)?
The AI will remove the additonal clubs from your account.
How does the AI decide which club(s) to remove from my account?
The AI will leave the first three clubs you took control of on your account and remove the others.
Can I still participate in the Gold Championships?
You will no longer be able to play in the Gold Championship setups.
Can I still create Custom Setups or manage my existing setup(s)?
You will no longer be able to create Custom Setups or control your Custom Setup(s).
What will happen to my Custom Setup?
Soccermanager will administrate your setup(s) by opening them up to all members.
