If I play a friendly do i still have to pay players wages?

Additional Details

I know that moral and concerns do not change i dont know about wages though. Do they still get paid for friendlies? Its because i am close to debt and i have suddenly got 3 friendlies at the end of the season and would like to avoid selling anyone.
