Work In Progress: Pre-set Transfer Responses
June 13th, 2008 by SM Dev (ste)
Have you ever made a transfer offer to another manager, had it rejected, and then wondered why the transfer offer was rejected?
We are currently working on pre-set transfer respones which you have the option to select (otherwise you can use the standard reject response which managers currently get), and this should help solve the mystery of why some transfer offers are rejected. So some examples of pre-set transfer responses you could select are as follows:
- I do not want to sell this player until next season;
- I do not want to sell this player to a rival club;
- I do not want to sell this player at this moment in time;
- I only want to sell this player in a part-exchange deal.
So linked into the above examples of pre-set transfer responses, the message the other manager would receive in his ‘Club Message’ inbox are as follows:
- X has rejected this deal as the manager does not want to sell this player until next season;
- X has rejected this deal as the manager does not want to sell this player to a rival club;
- X has rejected this deal as the manager does not want to sell this player at this moment in time;
- X has rejected this deal as the manager will only sell this player in a part-exchange deal.
The pre-set responses should be ready in the next few weeks, and we hope that this will be a welcome addition to the game.

I think that is a very good idea, especially in the gold setups, as people put ‘good’ players on the transfer list, but don’t want to sell them except in part exchange.

How about adding the response:
X has rejected this deal as the manager does not want to sell this player at all
5. Josh | June 13th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
Should also add “X is looking for an increased offer”

How about the bid has been rejected because the offer isn’t high enough?

I agree with you Ju about making players “Unavailable To Transfer” I use that with all my teams but managers still insist on bidding, some don’t understand that unavailable means not for sale
