Goalmouth Scramble talks with Tony Meola
August 5th, 2008 by SoccerPro
The Goalmouth Scramble continues to stretch its podcast muscle by wrangling in its first high-profile guest (yes someone with more cache than Trader Dick). Former U.S. National Team goalie Tony Meola spent some time chatting with Curtis about the keeper’s time on the national team, his current gig as keeper for the New Jersey Ironmen, the differences between the indoor and outdoor game, his work in the community and his goalkeeping gear company GK1.
In between scheduling his high-profile interviews, Curtis and his rotating band of guests have bandied opinions on the fortunes that await Stoke City, Hull City, West Ham, Bolton and Wigan in the Premier League this season. Will Bolton’s additions help keep relegation at arm’s length again and what will it take for Stoke City and Hull City to stay in the top flight?
Goalmouth Scramble also analyzes some Soccer Manager deals that have been sent its way and give an update on how its Crystal Palace squad is fairing in the Scramble’s setup.
