Talent Scout: Eugen Polanski
July 10th, 2008 by SM Dev (ste)
Getafe’s sporting director, Toni Munoz, presented the club’s new signing, Polish nationalised German Eugen Polanski, to the press in the past few days, and this is an interesting move to all those involved.
Polanski has signed for Getafe on a four year contract, and he arrived at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez from Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer. This is a fresh challenge for Polanaski, as he had been with Mönchengladbach since 1994, and it will be interesting to see how he copes with life in La Liga.
The holding midfielder is one of the great hopes of the future for the German national team (even though he is still to make his debut for the Die Nationalmannschaft), and the U21 national team captain will see this as an ideal opportunity to kick-start his flagging career. This is due to Polanski having a troubled 18 months with injury, and a also being involved in a contract dispute with Mönchengladbach. Both of these factors resulted in the holding midfielder seeing very little playing time despite his potential.
However, with midfielders Esteban Granero and Rubén de la Red leaving the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez to return to Real Madrid, this should allow Polanski to establish himself in the Azulones midfield next season. If this is the case then the Nationalmannschaft U21 captain could start to see his rating rise from his current 83 rating, and now is the ideal time to buy him before the new La Liga season starts.
Please Note: There is no guarantee that the player(s) named within this article will have an increase in rating, as the above information is my opinion, and not that of the SM Researchers. It is also your own responsibility if you decide to take a chance on the information I have provided.

I’m just angry that when somebody scouts something SM has to give it away to the rest of SM who didn’t put any work into scouting.

But why can’t those managers find the talents themselves? It ruins everything for those who actually scout.
