Talent Scout: A Trio of Talent From Ecuador

June 18th, 2008 by SM Dev (ste)

Now is the time to pay attention to the Campeonato Ecuatoriano de Fútbol as thier league is about to be reviewed.

There are three players of interest who stand out to me from this corner of the world, and this is due to their current rating in relation to what I think they should be. Please note that this is my opinion, and not that of the SM Researchers.

So who are these three players which I have classed as a ‘Trio of Talent from Ecuador’?

Well the first player has recently started for Ecuador at left-back, and he played in that position as recently as last weekend when he helped his country to a 1-1 draw against Argentina in Buenos Aires. That players is Isaac Mina, and he has recently joined Deportivo Quito  from SC Barcelona.  Mina is currently an 81-rated left-back, and his recent international exploits could help him get a small increase in rating.

The other two players have impressed me more than Mina, they both play for LDU Quito, and their exploits have helped Ecuadors most successful club to their first ever  Copa Libertadores de América final. The clubs success this season in South Americas most prestigious club competition has meant that their players have come to the attention of clubs all across the South American continent as well as some European ones.

One of the players, Joffre Guerrón, has been instrumental in LDU Quitos march to their first ever final, and this has resulted in the 23-year old gaining a transfers to La Liga side Getafe. Guerrón is currently an 85- rated forward, he could get a small rise, and long term if he is successful in La Liga could hit the high 80s.

The other player is a striker as well, and he is called Claudio Bieler. However, he is from Argentina not Ecuador, so my article title is slightly misleading, and I will apologise for this. Bieler has spearheaded LDU Quitos attack in the Copa Libertadores de América, and his performances have not gone unnoticed as clubs back in his homeland have been alerted to his exploits. The striker is currently 80-rated, and I believe that we could see a small increase in his rating due to his clubs march to their first ever Libertadores final.

Please Note: There is no guarantee that the player(s) named within this article will have an increase in rating, as the above information is my opinion, and not that of the SM Researchers. It is also your own responsibility if you decide to take a chance on the information I have provided.

There are 5 (in my opinion) big talents in Australia.. only 4 of ‘em had their ratings go up durin’ the last ratin’ changes.. Djite went up to 80.. Zullo went up.. Kruse went up a lot (surprisingly he’s now higher rated then both Zullo and Minniejcon while I don’t think he’s as good).. and Minniejcon went up too.. only Patafta didn’t get a ratin’ change which surprised me a lot. Minniejcon and Zullo are both attackin’ midfielders.. Kruse is a striker and so is Djite.. Patafta is a midfielder.. Minniejcon, Zullo, Kruse and Patafta are all only 19 years old.. Djite is 21.

Guerron is a good shout, was named as one of the best XI of the Copa Libertadores, but as he has moved to Spain he will surely be reviewed when Spain is reviewed and not Ecuador.

Guerron will indeed move to Getafe but not before he’s done playing the Copa Libertadores finals so he should get his increase when Ecuador is reviewed as he still plays for Liga.

it should also be pointed out that Guerron now plays RM and that should be his main position when his rating gets reviewed. I don’t think he ever was a CF but rather a F.
