Transfer System Changes
October 8th, 2007 by SM Dev (phil)
Transfer system changes have been made to improve the game and rid it of all cheating whilst providing a level playing field for all managers. Although the changes are slightly different to what has been in place it should be easy to pick up and managers should quickly be able to work out the new system. We advise managers to use the updated club shortlisted messages and the Chief Executives advice when you go to buy a player.

I think the new changes are great as I have been frustrated at other clubs getting good external players for cheap, while I have had to pay the big prices!
Well Done SM!

I think this would be great, because it’ll make the game more realistic

I think the changes make sense. Otherwise, everyone can simply buy a player from an unmanaged team, they can pay a bit over 2 times what is listed as the value. It won’t be fair to the unmanaged teams when it comes to good players. And no one would want to get the unmanaged teams because they have sold the good players with quite low amount.

i think that these changes will make it harder for smaller clubs (which in a cruel way makes it realistic) and are probs not needed. Don’t fix something if its not broken

I find it very stupid when teams put players up for transfer or loan then refuse other teams from there approach for no real reason other than to make a full of the system or other teams players that are put up for transfer or loan by a team should be suspended from playing until they are taken of the list or moved on.

I cant belive that some of you actually think that this chairman value actually improves the game! its an absolutly awful change and SM have messed up big time. I have one game left this season and have spent several weeks sorting out my targets for next season and working out approx what ill need to bid to get them. I want 1 player who’s sm value is £8.5 mill, I figured a bid between £13-£15 mill will get him. His chairman value is now in excess of £22 million which is absolutly ridicilous and will take the majority of my transfer funds. All this rule does is allow the Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpools who allready hold the majority of the top players and indeed set about collecting them they can put out 3 different sides with an average 93 rating, were the rest of us are lucky if we can put out 1. This rule just makes it even more difficult for the rest of us to compete because we do not have the transfer funds to buy more than 1 top player a season, and so we will never be able to challenge them!!! I dont think there was anything wrong with the previous system at least you were able to buy 2 or 3 top players and not just 1. The game could have been improved in other areas like more options in the tactis section the addition of a training schedule and also the ability to discipline players, rather than tinkering with the transfer system. I did send SM a message asking them why they made these changes the offical line is that is to try to stop cheating in set ups which im all for doing, but I think this change will damage the game and they should have looked at other ways of stopping cheating.

this system works great it stops those manangers (most of which are here complaining about the system) buying good players cheap from unmanagered clubs and then leaving those clubs with no great players and little cash this is a change for the better.

i think that the transfer system is good but i think that there could be an improvement within the contract like a sell on clause or something like that
21. danny webster | November 5th, 2007 at 4:44 pm

I also think that if a player is sent on loan and and has low morale and has good or excellent morale after he finish the season with the culb he was loned to then the player may be albe to put in a transfer request where by he can be sold for half the chairmans value. This would be good way of stoping big teams stockplieing players.
Also if a player has low morale and is not loaned out he may put in a transfer request and becomes a free agent. This would also stop big clubs for stealing all the talent and not using it

dont do a transfer window because my 2 c/b are both injured and i need to buy new ones
i have heard rumours of a transfer window and that it only lets u buy players at a certain date and i think that it is a stupid idea if it is what SM are planning to do
so dont do it please
