New Improvements/Features: Wages

October 4th, 2007 by SM Dev (ste)

On the list of Future Improvements within the main site is the idea of ‘Improved Finances’. This is an ongoing development and two new improvements have been made in relation to this. The first improvement is in relation to player values.

The second improvement is in relation to players wages.  After researching into real life wages and also looking at current wages within SM, it was decided that some player wages needed to change to reflect real life.

It was decided that players wages over the rating over 85 tended to reflect real life wages, and this is the case when you look at players like Juan Mata (£20,750 p/w),  Kaka (£77,600 p/w),  Simao (£46,00 p/w) etc.

This was not always the case when you looked at players wages within SM who played within the lower leagues. Certain  clubs like Northampton Town (for example) had players on £8,000 p/w, £12,500 p/w etc. In real life it tends to be players within the English Championship who are on those kind of wages.

Therefore players who have a rating less than 85 have had their wages reviewed and changed to reflect real life wages more accurately.

im really confused, has this already been done or not because on my chesterfield team, the wages are still like 8,000 for a 74 rating !!!!!!! the wages have got me into debt and its not fair, how are lower league clubs supposed to buy players when there all in debt.

A new edition on SM i would really like to see is for managers to be able to issue players with fine’s, for example: a fine of 2 weeks wages for a sending off, a fine of 1 weeks wages for reaching yellow cards limit, a fine of 1 weeks wages for any booking involving violent conduct, etc.
Also it would also be good to be able to leave comments after match’s regarding team performance, and referee performance, also to be able to interact with chairman, as it is a pain in the arse when transfer’s get blocked for no reason
