New Improvements/Features: Unmanaged club protection

A new feature has been introduced in relation to a chairman which has recently lost their manager.

We have received numerous susggetions over the past few months asking for unmanaged clubs to be protected in some form. The main reason for these suggestions is the following scenario:

When a club becomes unmanaged the other managers in a setup will hover over like vultures waiting to feast on the carcass (sorry using this as an example). The managers will then pillage the club of their desirable assets (meaning players) before another manager has chance to take the vacant position, and this has several implications. The main consequence is that the club will lose their best player(s) and leave the unmanaged club less desirable to manage, and this will result in possible new managers passing the chance to become the new manager.

Due to the above scenario we have decided to add a new feature to protect clubs which have recently become unmanaged. The new feature which we have introduced is in relation to a chairman which has recently lost their manager, and it will help prevent the above scenario from happening. This means that unmanaged clubs will become protected as their chairman will prevent any transfers with the club for a period of time.

Therefore if you try to make a transfer with a club which has recently become unmanaged you will see the following message:

“You currently can not do any transfers with this club as the chairman has recently lost their manager and it is in a transitional period. This period could last upto 48 hours.”

This will allow ample time for a new manager to take control of the club whilst its chairman protects its assets, and it will also mean that the club could be more desirable to manage due to holding on to key players.
