SoccerManager.com is pleased to announce that we are linking up with an excellent charity called KitAid.

KitAid

What is KitAid?

KitAid is a charity that sends unwanted football kits to children and adults across Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.

It started in 1998 when Derrick Williams, Three Valley Waters employee, visited Tanzania with the charity WaterAid. Derrick, who is passionate about football, realised that the young children in villages in Tanzania shared the same love of football.

When he returned home, Derrick spoke to work colleagues and friends and shortly afterwards the first box of donated football kits was on its way to the children he’d met in Tanzania.

The willingness of the people around him, led Derrick on to setup KitAid and the appeal has grown year on year with a total of around 50,000 children receiving shirts, kits and footballs in Tanzania, Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, South America, Asian and Eastern Europe.
