Ideas & Suggested Improvements: Draft Ideas for Custom Setups

We are currently considering making more options available on initial creation of the Custom Setup, and also for the owner to have the ability to change certain aspects at different times. Some of the suggestions below are SM’s, whilst others are from members of the forum:

Ability to reverse/cancel transfers - This should stop potential cheating in Custom Setups and also help reduce the number of emails to support.
Setup Admin – Ability to issue warnings to mangers, remove managers, and also remove ban manager from setup.
Stadium Building - This should be exclusive to Custom Setups (and Gold Setups) only, and not the Standard Setups. At the end of the season (dependant on average attendance, promotion etc) your Chairman offers you the chance to upgrade your stadium capacity at £x per thousand seats.
Chairman Optional - If the setup owner wants to relax the approach to transfers, then let him have the option of setting the Chairman to strict/average/lax (or similar).
Edit Setup Name - Ability to change description of setup.
Transfer Window -Managers have the option to introduce a transfer window, which will have several options (but also ability to active/deactivate) e.g. In place end of season/start of season, and then open again mid way through season.
Unmanaged Clubs - Ability to block people purchasing players from unmanaged clubs.
Complex Transfers - Option to make transfer more complex e.g. sell on fee, £x after y goals/appearances.
Play Offs - Clubs 3-6 take part in end of season Play Offs.
Pre-Season - Ability to introduce a Pre-Season of either 1 or 2 weeks. This will allow managers time to arrange friendly matches, work the transfer market, and arrange Pre-Season tournaments.
Relegated Clubs - Ability to change the club(s) which finish bottom of the last league.
Setups Newspaper - Ability to activate setup newspaper, and any member of Custom Setup can contribute towards it. Setup owner has ability to delete/edit any posts.
Starting Balance - Ability to edit any clubs starting balance within the setup.
Rate My Setup - Option to introduce this feature, and managers within the setup will have ability to rate the Custom Setup (out of 5 or 10 and possibly add comments). Potential managers will then see the general view/consensus of the setup.
Trophy Cabinet - List of all trophies won within the Custom Setup.
Max Player Signature Rating – Ability to impose a restriction on highest player rating any club can sign within setup e.g. No one can sign any players 90+.
Nationality Restriction – Set a restriction on the min. number of home grown players a player must have in his starting XI or squad.
International Setup – Ability to create a setup like you would do for club sides, but include international teams instead.
Reputation for Entry – Only several options at present, but more options should be available in regards to a managers reputation (and also ability to change this at any point).
Loan Restrictions – Ability to set loan restrictions (in regards to players out on loan) e.g. not allowed to play against parent club or in cup matches.
Setup Size – Ability to change the structure of the setup at the end of the season e.g. create/remove a league.

Please note that the above ideas are not set in stone, and are only initial suggestions to possibly improve the experience of the Custom Setup. This is a first draft, and any of the ideas can be deleted, revised, or introduced. Feel free to discuss this post on the forum.

these ideas are great, very good news for setup owners to have more control of there setup, i would like to see them become active as apart from me i speak for many managers that they think of new rules that would like to apply to there setup at the end of the season, but at the moment if we want to apply these rules we have to buy a new setup

Unmanaged Clubs - Ability to block people purchasing players from unmanaged clubs. that should go to all setups not just custom also i think you should be able to choose the amount of days they have to visted there team.

yes this will keep custom setups moving i think at the end of the season if you have an unmaged team you should have the option to change them so you setup can keep up with the times

Nationality Restriction – Set a restriction on the min. number of home grown players a player must have in his starting XI or squad. Thats along the right line i would say what ever club you are you must play a min of 3players from the team nationality e.g. liverpool must play 3 english players each game, this should be within all setup to keep the teams moving and if you cant play 3 players of a sertan nationality you should be forfitted (sorry about some of the spellings)

great ideas, part of them are already part of SM, i hope the rest will also
