Ideas & Suggested Improvements: New Gold Structure

June 5th, 2007 by SM Dev (ste)

The current structure of the Gold Setups is under review. Whilst we aim to keep the current English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian leagues intact (as they are some of the most populate leagues), the other leagues are under review.

Certain clubs are not being managed for one reason or another, and this could be due to certain managers being unfamiliar with the more unfashionable clubs. Due to this we are going to restructure certain leagues.

One proposal is to make certain leagues smaller, an example being creating a ten club strong Scottish league, with each club playing each other four times during the course of the season. One benefit of this is the creation of a stronger (and more competitive) league, as it will only include clubs which have proven to be popular in the various setups (meaning in turn there will be less unmaanged clubs).

Another proposal is to alginate certain leagues, which would mean transferring clubs between divisions to creater stronger leagues, an example being transferring clubs from the Central European League (like Dinamo Bucuresti, Sparta Praha etc) into the Russian & Ukrainian League, thus creating an Eastern European League.

We are also contemplating adding MLS clubs into the Latin League, thus creating an Americas League, but this is doubtful at this stage.

The last proposal is to create a Pan Asiatic-African league, consisting of ten clubs from Egypt, South Africa, Tunisia, the Middle East, China, Japan, Korea, and Australia.

Any ideas and feedback would be appreciated.
